
David Ramsay
David is from Edinburgh
and is a Graduate of the Scottish College of Textiles.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society Of Arts, a Member
of the Licensing Executives Society and a Chartered
Associate of the Textile Institute.
He has extensive experience of design, branding,
marketing, licensing and business development gained by
working in over 35 countries stretching from the Middle
East, Asia, India, Australia, USA, Canada and Europe
for major corporate organisations such as Adidas,
Wrangler, Coats Viyella and the Tootal Group.
During his career he has been involved in many aspects
of the textile and clothing industries including
worsted and woollen woven manufacture, warp and weft
knitting, fully-fashioned and cut and sew knitwear and
performance textiles. He has an in-depth commercial
understanding of textile manufacturing techniques.
As a former Guest lecturer at UMIST, Durham Business
School and guest speaker at international conferences
in Sun City, Taipei, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Bangkok and
Phuket he has influenced developing minds. He has
organised major licensee conferences in Singapore,
Jakarta, Malacca, Stockholm, Dubai and Amman and
conducted joint seminars with major organisations such
as PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Sean Chiles
Sean is from London and
is a fashion graduate of St. Martin’s School of Art. He
is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Flying
Start Mentor for the National Council for Graduate
Entrepreneurship and a Visiting Professor in Fashion at
The Domus Academy in Milan. He is based in Barcelona
and London.
On leaving St. Martin's he worked as a menswear
designer in Hong Kong and has since lived and worked in
the USA, Australia, Japan, India and Turkey the UK and
Spain. His career path has taken him from Assistant to
Tommy Nutter on Savile Row in London, through Designer
and on to Board level for high street retail groups
handling brands such as Van Heusen, Viyella, and
Aertex.
He has worked for some of the leading design, fashion,
and textile business names and in fashion education and
external assessment at Diploma, Degree and Masters
level.
Sean has been involved with the Royal Society of Arts
Student Design Awards as a judge and advisor on the
fashion panel since 1993, and has been involved in
judging the Marketing entries at Graduate Fashion Week
in London.
